In nature, kimberlite is a volcanic rock which is notable for being the most reliable source of naturally occurring diamonds on earth. To put it simply, if you find kimberlite, you’ll have diamonds. We are Kimberlite Records, we’re based in Edmonton Canada and are dedicated to producing soul music at 45 RPM in limited quantity releases. For our first record we are proud to deliver a diamond we’ve uncovered, The Estimations!

The Estimations have channeled the big city soul of the mid-1960s and come with Can’t Do This To Me b/w Let Me Go as their debut offering.
The A side, Can’t Do This To Me, is a bright, up-tempo, latin-tinged dance tune with a pleading emotional call and response vocal performance. The flip, Let Me Go, opens with a tough drum break and then immediately smooths into a Sam Cooke sensibility with a plaintive vocal evoking timeless sentiment wrapped in stylish trappings.
